Mr. Bové was born in Villanova, Pennsylvania. He was a National Merit Scholar in high school and an accomplished pianist. He attended Pennsylvania State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Vertebrae Physiology/Biology in 1984. He is a 1988 graduate of The University of Villanova School of Law, is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is a member of the Bar of the United States District Court for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He is a founding partner of the regional firm, Bodell, Bové, Grace & Van Horn, P.C. with offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Cherry Hill, New Jersey and Wilmington, Delaware.

Mr. Bové concentrates his practice in the fields of insurance consulting, insurance coverage litigation, bad faith litigation, product liability, and catastrophic loss litigation. Representative clients include primary, excess and specialty lines insurance carriers, pharmaceutical companies, and industrial and consumer product manufacturers.

Mr. Bové frequently advises insurance carriers concerning their rights and obligations under differing insuring grants relative to claims involving large or nationwide exposures, drawing on his practical experience handling the defense of mass tort and other complex litigations. He regularly litigates coverage actions on behalf of the insurance carriers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and other jurisdictions. He has been directly involved in some of the largest exposure bad faith and reverse bad faith cases in the industry. He regularly serves as an expert consultant in insurance coverage matters on behalf of industry clients in declaratory judgment/bad faith actions.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Bové served as Court-appointed Liaison Counsel in complex product liability and mass tort coordinated proceedings including In re Pennsylvania Orthopedic Bone Screw Product Liability Litigation and In re Pier 34 Coordinated Litigation, and served as Multi-District Litigation counsel in nationwide federal proceedings including, In re Diet Drug (fen-phen) Litigation MDL 1203 and In re Orthopedic Bone Screw Product Liability Litigation, MDL 1014. He represented manufacturers of products containing phenylpropanolamine (PPA), pro-hormones, ephedra, and other pharmaceuticals in individual and purported class actions in the State and Federal Courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey as well as in Multi-District Litigations. He continues to handle the defense of a variety of industrial product manufacturers in environmental and toxic tort cases in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Mr. Bové has lectured extensively in the areas of insurance coverage, and complex mass tort/class action litigation, and served as a special presenter for the National Judicial College in Reno, Nevada where he lectured annually to state court jurists throughout the country on managing complex civil litigation.
