Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Grace clerked for The Honorable James R. Cavanaugh of the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County and has been in private practice since August of 1974. He has extensive defense litigation experience in both state and federal courts and concentrates his practice in the areas of general civil defense (including general liability, automobile/motor vehicle and premises liability), products liability, and environmental and mass and toxic torts litigation. He has served as coordinating regional, state and local counsel in a variety of complex broad-based defense and corporate litigation matters.

Mr. Grace is a member of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations and also maintains memberships in the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel, Pennsylvania Claims Association, Pennsylvania Defense Institute, American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), the Defense Research and Trial Lawyers Association (DRI), and the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC).

Since 1983, Mr. Grace has been actively involved in the IADC, has chaired a number of substantive and special committees and task forces and has served on the Association's governing Executive Committee. Since 1998, he has served, by special appointment, as the IADC's delegate to the American Civil Trial Bar Roundtable. He is a former President of the ABOTA Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter. Since 2005, Mr. Grace has co-chaired a major ABOTA project, the National 7th Amendment Summit, held in 2005 and to be held again in 2007 in LasVegas. The 2007 project will consist of a 2-day symposium covering two major topics, The Continued Preservation of the 7th Amendment Right to Trial by Jury and the intwined topic of Judicial Independence and will include participants such as prominent Federal and State Court Judges, law professors, practicing attorneys (on both sides of the litigation aisle), legislators, and members of the media.

Mr. Grace has served as a federal mediator and as both a Settlement Master and a Pro Tem Judge in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas. In 2006, he was named as one of the Pennsylvania SuperLawyers by Philadelphia Magazine and Law and Politics Magazine.

Mr. Grace is an avid sports fan, actively participating in basketball, skiing and golf and also enjoys reading, movies and the many and varied cultural and culinary attractions in the Southeastern Pennsylvania/Southern New Jersey areas.
