Mr. McDevitt has spent the bulk of his 37 year legal career as an in-house litigator and coverage attorney for Cigna Insurance Company, St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Company, and ACE USA. From 1974-1979,Mr. McDevitt practiced as an personal injury defense litigator with the law firm of O’Brien & O’Brien focusing primarily on product liability and motor vehicle personal injury matters.. He thereafter worked as Senior Litigation Attorney for Cigna and as the Managing Attorney for St. Paul’s Philadelphia staff counsel operation. From 1992-2009, Mr. McDevitt worked in the law departments with Cigna and ACE as a coverage attorney and focused primarily on analysis of insurance policy issues and oversight of complex and large exposure litigation. Since joining the firm in 2010, Mr. McDevitt has concentrated in the defense of construction liability, premises liability and motor vehicle personal injury cases.

Mr. McDevitt is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is an active member of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the American Corporate Counsel Association (DELVACCA) and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC).
