University, B.A., Public Policy Studies, 1981 Mr. Scott is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey. His practice focuses on the defense of product liability, construction defect, and construction accident claims, and the handling of insurance coverage matters. He has successfully tried cases in the Pennsylvania Courts of Common Pleas, and he has briefed and argued cases before the Pennsylvania Superior Court and the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court. Mr. Scott is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel, the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, and the Defense Research Institute, and he is a Fellow of the Academy of Advocacy. He is active in various defense organizations, currently serving on the Executive Committee of the PADC, as Co-Chairman of PDIs Product Liability Committee, and as a Director for the Eastern District of PDI. He is a frequent contributor to PDIs Counterpoint. Since 2004, he has coached the Mock Trial Team at Samuel S. Fels High School in Philadelphia. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Scott served as the Assistant Director of Operations for the largest fabricator/erector of structural steel in the Delaware Valley. Consequently, his construction practice has been substantially enhanced by his real-world experience. During law school, Mr. Scott was named to the Deans List and was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. He also earned Distinguished Class Performances in ten separate subjects.
