The focus of Mr. Syken’s practice is in the areas of insurance and complex liability matters, with a particular concentration on how risk is allocated and transferred among litigants. Along these lines, Mr. Syken has litigated insurance coverage and indemnification issues in numerous jurisdictions at the trial and appellate level as part of the firm’s Coverage Practice. Additionally, Mr. Syken represents a number of private and non-profit organizations in a wide variety of tort-based litigation, and often provides advice regarding contracting and risk issues.

Mr. Syken is an avid music fan and record collector, and plays several instruments.
